During this time of Covid-19 - Philly High Fiber pivoted to make Face Masks. We began by making and donating masks to Sew Face Masks Philly - and then were asked to make and sell masks for friends, neighbors, family and residents of Philadelphia. We’ve now added every single mask here AND on our Etsy Shop - so if you are not lucky enough to live in the City of Brotherly Love - you too can have a Philly High Fiber mask shipped via USPS directly to you. Our packages go out the same day as ordered - since we are constantly working on new Face Masks and we only post what we have in stock. We are currently making and selling THREE (3) different types of Face Masks - 100% Cotton, vintage Kimono Silk and Cotton and Sari Silk & Cotton. A portion of the cost of each mask is used to purchase additional materials to make masks to be donated.

Our Cotton Face Masks are made from two (2) layers of brand new 400 count 100% cotton sheets and are very soft. Our Silk Face Masks are lined with the same soft 400 count sheets.

Sheets have been washed, and are matched with ties made from brand new cotton T-Shirts. Our masks can tie behind the head or behind your ears - providing maximum flexibility.
GREEN & STANDARD 100 CERTIFIED by OEKO-TEX® - the eco-friendly sheets are independently tested for harmful substances for utmost safety.
The masks have been fashioned to have a different color inside and outside so that you always know which side has been facing out.
At the top of each mask there is a channel and includes a wire to mold the top of the mask to your nose - thereby making the mask fit tight - providing you with enhanced protection.
We now have three Sizes:
- Unisex - (large enough to fit over another mask if needed) - Starts with 8” x 10” - Finished: 7” from Bridge of nose to under chin by 8” Cheek to Cheek
- Medium (1” shorter and less wide than Unisex) - Starts with 7” x 9” - Finished: 6” from Bridge of nose to under chin by 7” Cheek to Cheek
- Small or Children’s sizes - Starts with 6” x 8” - Finished: 5” from Bridge of nose to under chin by 6” Cheek to Cheek
- Note: Most of our Kimono Silk Face Masks are One of a Kind - it is rare to have Masks in multiple sizes. Sari Silk Masks may have multiple sizes available

A new study from the University of Chicago reports that “The scientists tested a number of different materials and combinations to determine the most effective way of limiting the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19. According to their results, cotton and silk (combined) make the best masks… The scientists explain the reason for its effectiveness lies in the fact that the high thread count cotton provided a physical barrier to the particles, while the chiffon or silk provided a static charge that offered an electrostatic barrier.” So, we have pulled some of our precious Vintage Kimono Silk Fabric and paired it with soft cotton, and presto!
